Refurbishing office computers for schools and the community

Case studies of New Zealand schools using CANZ refurbished computers

These case studies have been produced over a nine-year period and not all of the information is current. For instance, all the '486' and low-end Pentium class computers mentioned will have been replaced. However, much of the information remains generally applicable to school computing today. (An exception to this is some schools' use of thin-client networks in earlier years. This technology does not work well with some of the multimedia programs more commonly used today – especially when Flash graphics are involved.)  Each case study is dated, and  contact details are given for each school, should you want to follow their experience up.
